[May 22, 2026]
After careful consideration and extensive discussions, the organizers of the Texas Outlaw Challenge have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Texas Outlaw Challenge boating event.
For nearly two decades, the Texas Outlaw Challenge has brought together boating enthusiasts, sponsors, participants, and spectators from across the country, becoming one of the premier performance boating events on the Gulf Coast. The event has proudly contributed to the local community, tourism, charity goals, and the boating industry while creating lasting memories and relationships along the way.
This decision was not made lightly. A variety of factors were evaluated throughout the planning process, focusing on the continuation of a quality production, and ultimately it was determined that stepping away from this year’s event was the most responsible course of action at this time.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported the Texas Outlaw Challenge over the past 19 years,” said event organizers. “From participants and sponsors to volunteers, city partners, and fans, the success and legacy of this event have always been driven by the passion and support of the boating community.”
While the June 2026 event will not move forward as planned, organizers expressed appreciation for the longstanding support the event has received and remain proud of the impact the Texas Outlaw Challenge has had throughout its history.
Additional information regarding future considerations or related announcements will be communicated as appropriate.
